The BBMRI-ERIC Directory is a centralised list of biobanks with aggregated information on their human sample and data collections from the 20 member countries of BBMRI-ERIC. It provides scientists with a general overview of collection activities. At the same time, it gives more visibility to the registered biobanks. The Directory was set up by the Common Service IT in cooperation with the national nodes – including the German Biobank Node (GBN). The GBN encourages all German biobanks to register in the Directory.
