GBN webinar: handling infectious samples

This page contains all of the documents from the GBN webinar on handling infectious samples – and especially SARS-CoV-2 samples. The presentation slides and a full recording of the webinar are available for download.

The German ordinance on biological substances (Biostoffverordnung, BioStoffV), the German act on the prevention and control of infectious diseases (Infektionsschutzgesetz, IfSG), risk assessments, recommendations of the Committee on Biological Agents (ABAS) – there are many aspects to consider when handling SARS-CoV-2 samples. The GBN webinar held on 29 April 2020 with Christiane Hartfeldt, Bettina Meinung (both QM Core Team, GBN) and Dr. Jörg Schibel (Biosafety Officer, University Hospital Tübingen) looked at exactly these aspects.
