In its anniversary year of 2024, the German Biobank Node (GBN) is releasing a series of videos featuring representatives from biobanks, as well as other supporters and partners. These videos include congratulatory messages, reflections on past activities and successes, and aspirations for the future.

The first video, featuring Prof. Dr. Jens Habermann, Director General of the European biobank network BBMRI-ERIC, is available here. Recently, a new compilation video titled "Highlights of a Decade" has been published, showcasing several members of the GBN Steering Committee. In this video, Dr. Heidi Altmann, Dr. Gabriele Anton, Dr. Ronny Baber, Prof. Dr. Thomas Illig, PD Dr. Dr. Michael Kiehntopf, Dr. Romy Kirsten, Prof. Dr. Martin Lablans, and PD Dr. Sara Nussbeck discuss notable achievements.

Executive Board spokesperson Sara Nussbeck states: "In my opinion, the greatest successes are the community, the cohesion, and the dialogue between the individual players." Romy Kirsten adds, "GBN is one of the best examples of how pooling expertise has led to added value for the individual partners."
